Thursday 7 April 2011 - Day 6 in Chiang Mai

Sawadee Ka! Well we had another great day in Changers today! We actually slept in until 7.30am thats a big one for us. Off to breakfast at Macca's, I am hooked on the rice chicken porridge. We walked off breakfast and went for a long stroll down to the Ping River to the Flower Markets. It was quite humid today due to the storm and rain last night. We sweated our arses off as anyone who knows us knows we have a major allergic reaction to any form of exercise and that includes walking. After our long and hot walk we had to head back to our hotel for a short rest as we booked the arvo for our 2nd visit to the Doi Suthep Temple under the guidance of Mr Chatree. He picked us up at 1.30 this arvo and off we went. It is always so awesome to visit the Temple and even better when there is someone to guide you thru the process. I posted heaps of photos on the blog last night. Mr Chatree took photos as we followed the step by step process so when we go to other temples we will know how to do it. We had a blessing with Mr Chatree's Monk then to the big Monk for another which we made an offering to and prayed with. It really is out of this world to be in the presence of such high spiritual beings. My offering and prayers on this visit are for Clear (my daughter-in-law) who is the most awesome person and whom I love to death, she is a beautiful person, with a big heart and the best mum even during these difficult times. Clear, you are my hero and I love you heaps. I know that my prayers for her will come to fruition soon and I can't think of a more deserving person for the best life has to offer. Namaste Clear. We spent 2 hours at the Temple and then back to our hotel, and early dinner and then a quiet night in, no shopping tonight we are just too tired. Only one day and night left and then we are off to Samui, this is where the real luxury and relaxation begins. Will be sorry to leave Chiang Mai, I just love it here and hope to come back to live for at least 6 months once Rick and I retire. Lotto! I need a win!!!!!!!!lol! Until Tomorrow! Kob un Ka!
